was built by a government official for his mother-in-law who lived on the other
side of the ravine from him and his wife. This was not out of love so much as
it was to make sure that she wouldn’t have an excuse to spend the night! Today
it has turned into a place for Odessans and people around the world to showcase
their love. You will notice hundreds on locks hanging on the rails of the
bridge; look closer and you will notice messages such as "Olya +
Igor" inscribed on each one. Hundreds of couples professing their love for
one another... I can't think of a romantic sight that I've seen on all of my
travels than this one. What a perfect souvenir to LEAVE for one of your loved
