Yesterday at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, in Vanderbilt Hall, I discovered an Italian exhibit about eyeglasses. Unfortunately the last day is March 24. For those who couldn't make it, here is a photo album of some of the eyeglasses shown, including a replica from the 14th Century. Many of the 20th Century designs are still current, such as the Aviator , the Wayfarer , and many "Cat's Eye" shapes. Whether you wear glasses or not, it's cool to see how humans have dealt with eyesight issues, especially in the past 100 years when glasses started becoming a fashion statement.
