I have a fairly complicated relationship with food, and as a result am far from an adventurous diner! Still, in recent years I've been making more of an effort to expand my diet, and travel often forces my hand with regard to trying new things or unfamiliar twists on existing 'safe' options.    Looking back over some of my trips I've noticed a tendency for experimenting with unusual meats. Here are a few...   Ostrich: I've actually tried this twice; from a market stall in London, England; and at a restaurant in Göteburg, Sweden.   Reindeer: Also in Sweden, but Stockholm this time. Incredibly expensive, but a fantastic meal!   Buffalo: In Banff, Canada.    However, I don't think I'll ever be brave enough for some of the local Scottish delicacies, be it Haggis, deep-fried mars bars or the horror that is the 'munchy box'!
