So this week at Sosauce we're trying to spread the word about our holiday promotion, 20 free prints . Sean & I decided to flyer around the Lower East Side in coffee shops to see what kind of response we'd get and it ended up being a great afternoon.    We took the subway down to Union Square and began our adventure. Once we were dropped off at 14th Street we began walking towards Alphabet City in search of our 1st coffee shop stop, the B Cup East Village Cafe . It was quite a walk from the subway stop but since I've never passed through the area, I didn't mind. The cafe was very small and cute, a typical trendy-looking coffee shop. The girl was nice enough to let us put down some postcards, so we did as such and moved on to the next stop.   Following the B Cup, we walked towards the East Village/LES and this is really one of my favorite parts of the city. Great street art, always something to look at, lots of bars, boutiques, and eateries. Really awesome neighborhood to hang out at. Walking through the streets and entering some book stores in between, I was inspired to pick up some new hobbies for the coming year. One of which being to read more. I've always been a big reader, but I haven't read a good book in over a year unfortunately. So I'm going to try and pick up a new book next month and really get back into it. I also want to start spending more time checking out new places... like the neat boutiques and quirky shops and coffee places. Since I don't live in NYC this will be a bit tougher, but hopefully when the weather is nicer, maybe I can look for new places here at home. We shall see. Among the coffee shops we entered to distribute more flyers were: Think Coffee , Prince St. Cafe & Catering, Gizzi's Coffee , and Blue Stockings .   In total was a 2 hour walk this afternoon, who knows how many miles but we ended up walking through SoHo / NoHo, the NYU area, and back to Union Square before heading back to the office. I really wish I had my camera with me because I would have gotten some great shots but all I can do is take a mental note of new places Sean recommended me and the great views I took in. I've never really walked the city and enjoyed it so this was one of those rare times. Days like these make me fall in love all over again with New York. I don't know how anyone could ever be bored in a place of endless options - no matter what you're into!   Below is a map of our route. The blue line is what we walked!     Tomorrow is NYE and I plan on stopping by some of the bars I passed by today to see what they're all about. I hope tomorrow night will be just as fun, if not more! If you have suggestions for me on where to go, or if you've been to any of these neighborhoods and would like to share your experience with me, please do, I'd love to hear all about it :)
