On Sosauce, there are 3 levels of privacy for you to control who can view your content -- Public, Friends Only, and Private. You can choose a privacy level on content you upload/create on Sosauce, including trips, photos, and journals. "Public" means viewable by all internet users, with or without a Sosauce account. Once you have set something to Public, you can post links and embed onto other sites, such as blogs, Digg, Del.icio.us, Facebook, etc. We want to encourage travel geeks to share their experiences, and for this reason, Public is also the default privacy setting. "Friends Only" is only for your Sosauce friends to see, and they have to log in to their Sosauce account. "Private" is only for yourself to see. No one else can see it. In addtion to your trips, photos, journals, etc., you have privacy settings to the most personal information in your Profile via Edit Profile. So if you don't want people to know your age or birthday, you can easily set it to Private!
