This is a thought-provoking question. And so I thought about it. At first I thought about changing the color of oil to bright, shiny yellow so perhaps all the money grubbing oil companies could see the light. Why not right? Well, then I got to thinking about my favorite part of nature: thunderstorms, and in particular, lightning. Nature's way of producing beautiful, magnificent displays of unrestrained fireworks. I do love a good firework show. And yes they are dangerous, but only when mishandled. The same thing could be said of lightning. Look do not touch, that is my motto. The problem is lightning, being electricity, only comes in one boring color. Lame. Now, of course, when combined with the colors of the sky these bolts of light often appear blue or purple, as displayed in the picture I have provided. But what if we could go one step further. What if lightning could actually come in multiple colors like the light bulbs we buy for our Ikea lamps? I have a blue one myself, and really like the way it makes my room look when all the lights are out. And that's another amazing part of lightning. It often strikes at night when it is dark enough for all its grandeur to be put on display. My ultimate fantasy: neon green lightning bolts. I believe I would run and rejoice in any thunderstorm if this were the case. So bring it on Mother Nature.
